Wall of Light - a screwless construction
For the event Back to Live Life, the existing light panels were reconfigured and adapted specifically for the location. The panels were connected and arranged to form three walls of light. The setup of the three illuminated walls was consciously designed for the small room with its low ceiling. The content was carefully mapped to the panels and could be controlled individually. The concept was developed in close collaboration with Jan Sommer.
For the physical build at back to life live, we designed a screwless mounting system using wooden battens and wedges. This invisible structure allowed the panels to float within the room, emphasizing the light rather than the mechanics.
Outcome
The result was a light sculpture that turned a sparse cellar into an atmospheric stage of shifting patterns – a hybrid of craft, engineering, and ephemeral art.
Original concept & design
The installation was originally designed and realized for one of the Stages at the “Am Bach Festival 2023”.
